According to the new scheme Class 9 and class 10 have two terms
in academic year. The first term is from April to September and the
second term is from October to March. The CBSE CCE evaluation is done
through both Formative and Summative assessment in school. Students

Communicative, English Language and Literature, Hindi Course A and
Hindi Course B for Class 9.
There have been some changes for Class 9th and Class 10th second
term examination. Many changes have been made in the questions
papers format in summative assessment March 2011. The weight age
given to MCQ has been reduced from 57
percent earlier to 26 percent in the subject of English. Now, about
75 percent of the questions will be subjective type which implies
students will have to now write their own answers in second term
March 2011 Summative Assessment. The sample papers provide weight
age to different form of questions, unit-wise division of
questions, and blueprint for March 2011 Second term examination.
Students are advised to go through CCE

papers for class 9, CCE sample papers for
class 10 very carefully and observe the pattern of questions as the
format of the actual paper in examination will be similar to the
one provided by CBSE in these sample
