CBSE Board Exams from First working day of March 2010

First working day of March 2010 will mark the commencement of the board examinations for Class-X and Class-XII under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

In a circular issued by the CBSE board, it is confirmed that the Board exams will start from first working day of March 2010. Complete details will be announced in the last week of December. It is expected that over 1.4 million students will appear for the exams in both the classes. The government has already announced that Class X examinations of the CBSE will be optional from the next academic year (2010-11) while the grading system will be introduced this year itself. The board also confirmed that the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), conducted by CBSE, will be held on April 25, while the All India Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental entrance is slated for April 03.
